| The Strait Area Studies Virtual Library Project is lead by the Richmond County Energy Office in Point Tupper, Nova Scotia. As part of the Municipality of the County of Richmond, the Energy Office’s primary function is as a facilitator for companies looking to invest in the Point Tupper Heavy Industrial Park, while working to attract and support industries to Richmond County.
This collection is essential in providing support to development organizations like the Richmond County Energy Office, in their responsibility to provide information to investors interested in capturing the incredible potential of Nova Scotia’s Strait of Canso. |

Eastern Counties Regional Library | |
| ECRL is pleased to be a partner in the Strait of Canso Virtual Library Project. The Library is providing technical support in the creation of the Project web site and will also host and provide catalogued access to the special collection of printed reports that are gathered as a result of this research.
ECRL has been providing public library service throughout Guysborough, Inverness and Richmond County for the past 35 years. ECRL currently has a collection of approximately 105,000 items consisting of books, magazines and other audio/video materials in a wide variety of genres and formats. |

Strait-Highlands Regional Development Agency | |
| The Strait-Highlands Regional Development Agency (S-HRDA) is charged by the province to coordinate and facilitate economic development at the local level. The Strait-Highlands RDA represents the County of Inverness, the Town of Port Hawkesbury and the County of Richmond.
Given the need for easily accessible information, the virtual library is going to be a very important tool in economic development efforts for all of the Strait-Highlands Region. |
